elcome to the St. Francis de Sales Parish website. Our parish, while relatively new, is really the oldest Catholic parish in Monongalia County. We were canonically established in 1901 and have undergone several changes, not only of location, but also in name. From 1901 until 1939, we were known as St. Francis de Sales Parish. From 1939 until 1998, we were known as St. Theresa Parish. Then in 1998, having merged with St. Elizabeth Ann Seton in Westover, we became the Parish of St. Theresa/St. Elizabeth Ann Seton. With the construction of our new parish complex, we once again became the Parish of St. Francis de Sales.
